Brown Sugar Brownies

Cooking Light April 2011, p. 94

1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 ounces (2 squares) unsweetened chocolate, melted
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

I got to use a DOUBLE BOILER!

Behold the delicious.

Preheat oven to 325F. Grease 8x8x2-inch baking pan. In large bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

I got to use an ELECTRIC mixer!

Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in chocolate, then flour.

This is what "ooey gooey" looks like.

Stir in nuts.

Unless you have a nut allergy, I suppose. Although even then I guess you could, you know, roll the dice.

Pour into pan. Bake 25 minutes. Cool in pan and cut into bars.

Aw YEA.

Served on a HANDMADE bunny dessert plate. On top of a TABLECLOTH.

My Rating: 4/5 "Moist (although a little crumbly), and the brown sugar compliments the cocoa SO well!"
