Santa’s Recipes for a Great Christmas, 5th Ed., p. 12

1 cup sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup roasted peanuts
6 cups rice or corn Chex

Bring sugar and light Karo syrup to a boil.

Careful with this stuff. It's like tar once it stiffens.

Because somebody looked at sugar and thought "Gosh, this just isn't sweet enough."

Add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir. Add peanuts. Stir.

STIR, damnit!

Remove from heat and add Chex.

It's a bit bulky, but you gotta make sure it all gets mixed in well.

Put immediately on buttered pan.

Transitioning from gooey and delicious to chewy and delicious!

We cut it into pieces to eat it. If you'd rather just have at the entire pan, be my guest.

My Rating: 5/5 "I'm not normally really a peanut person, but man, these are just wonderful. Great texture, wonderful flavor, just all-around spectacular."
