Old-Fashioned Biscuits

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
4 Tbsp shortening
2/3 cup milk

Pre-heat oven to 450F. Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut or rub in shortening. Add milk to make soft dough; knead lightly.

I often use almondmilk when I cook, but actual dairy is best for baking.

Roll ¼ inch thick, cut and bake in oven until golden brown.

They're assuming that you already know how to make biscuits. In case you don't you need to do some of this.

And then lay them out like this.

And then they get done like this!

My Rating: 3/5 "I'm a buttermilk biscuit kinda gal, and these were a little plain for my taste. Granted, I didn't get to eat one until they were cold, and it was decent, but it's just really basic. I mean, it's food."
