Real Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 ¼ cups all purpose flour, unsifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, room temperature
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375F. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a larger bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Gradually add flour mixture. Mix well before stirring in semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Get ready for Arm Day when you stir this - it takes elbow grease to get all the chips mixed in.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Done and ready for action!

My Rating: 4/5 "These are nice not only because they're sweet and cookies and stuff, but also because you can really taste the butter and salt in them. That combination gives them depth and a nice array of flavors to think about while you're eating them."
