Mexican Lettuce Salad

½ cup creamy ranch dressing
1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
1 ½ teaspoons Louisiana hot sauce
1 (10 ounce) package torn romaine lettuce
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 medium cucumber, seeded and chopped
1 ripe avocado, pitted, peeled, and chopped
1 cup shredded Mexican style cheese
¼ cup sliced green onions
Tortilla chips, broken

In small mixing bowl, combine ranch dressing, taco seasoning and hot sauce; set aside.

It's worth it, I promise.

In large serving bowl, combine lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado, cheese and green onions until well combined.

...you should use a larger serving bowl than I did.

Toss with dressing and desired amount of tortilla chips. Serve immediately.

Served with a bowl of mac and cheese from a box, because healthy eating only goes so far before you smash head-on into some preservatives.

My Rating: 3/5 "I have to admit that I made this mostly because we thought its name was hilariously silly. I mean, it's ok. It has greens and stuff, and the dressing is actually pretty delicious. But still. Lettuce salad?"
