Breakfast Bars

5 cups Frosted Flakes crushed to 3 cups
½ cup raisins
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
½ cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine crushed Frosted Flakes with raisins in a large bowl; set aside.

It's like the most hype Raisin Bran you've ever had.

Bring brown sugar and corn syrup to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Stir peanut butter and vanilla into syrup until well blended.

This stuff is pretty legit.

Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal and raisins, stirring until evenly coated.

Press mixture into a 9-inch square pan. Cool completely.

It gets a little brittle when it's totally cool, so I don't know that I'd actually cool "completely" before cutting it.

Cut into 16 bars.

My Rating: 4/5 "These taste really really good, especially if you have a sweet tooth. (I know they're called breakfast bars, but let's be serious. They're cookies. You're eating cookies for breakfast.) I'd caution that if you make 16 bars out of this like the recipe says they're going to be tiny. I cut mine into 12 bars and they were a good size to sate you for breakfast or as a snack. Overall, though, they're a tasty sweet treat!"
