Scalloped Potatoes



3 cups cubed raw potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup boiling water
1 cup evaporated milk
[Shredded cheese, optional]

Add potatoes to melted butter, fry 3 or 4 min. 

I never think of potatoes as being "raw," for some reason, but I guess they really are.


Blend water and milk, pour over and cook until tender. 

No evaporated milk at the store, so I used cream instead. It was a delicious substitution.


Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.

Why is that even a question?!
