3 cups cubed raw potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup boiling water
1 cup evaporated milk
[Shredded cheese, optional]
Add potatoes to melted butter, fry 3 or 4 min.
I never think of potatoes as being "raw," for some reason, but I guess they really are. |
Blend
water and milk, pour over and cook until tender.
No evaporated milk at the store, so I used cream instead. It was a delicious substitution. |
Sprinkle with cheese, if
desired.

My Rating: 4/5 "These are pleasant. (And I say that not even being a potato person.) I strongly recommend adding the cheese just so there's more variety in the dish, but it's very comforting on its own."
