Chopper Chili

Secrets of the M*A*S*H Mess, p. 68

1 pound ground turkey

1 large yellow onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 15-ounce cans white beans (northern, cannellini, or any combination of white beans)

2 15-ounce cans tomatoes, chopped, 1 can not drained

2 tablespoons chili powder

½ to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon salt

In a large nonstick saucepan saute the turkey, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic until the turkey is no longer pink and the onion is translucent.

I really don't cook with ground turkey enough. It's handy-dandy.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.

A tower of flavor!

My Rating: 4/5 "This packs a delightful punch for a turkey dish! You get all your satisfying standard chili flavors as well as a nice dose of zazz from the cayenne (particularly if you go for the full teaspoon). It's filling and satisfying but still healthy. If you're the kind of person who adds things to the top of their chili there's certainly room to do that here, but it stands on its own well as-is."
