Everyone is a Winner!, p. 43
¾ c. butter
¼ c. finely chopped green onion
3-4 garlic buds
4 chopped parsley sprigs or 2 tbs dried
parsley
1 lb. uncooked deveined medium shrimp
¼ c. dry wine
2 tbs. fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter in skillet over low heat.
So much tasty butter. |
Add onion, garlic, parsley and saute until golden brown. Add shrimp and cook (stirring) just until pink.
Target didn't have any green onions or parsley, which left some of the flavor and attractiveness out of the dish. |
Remove shrimp and put in oven proof dish. Cover lightly and
keep warm. Add wine and lemon juice to skillet and simmer 2-3 min. Pour over
shrimp. Serve over rice.
Even so, it was still quite nice! |
My Rating: 4/5 "Lemon and butter - the classic combination. It's nice to find a comfort food that makes you feel decently sophisticated while you're eating it. Plus I'd imagine it's even better with the green ingredients!"
