Chicken and Cheese

 Say Cheese, p. 94

¼ C butter

¼ C flour

3 chicken bouillon cubes

2 C milk

3 C cubed cook chicken

½ lb sliced mushrooms

4 C cold cooked rice

1 C grated sharp cheddar

Melt butter, blend in flour and crumbled bouillon. Gradually stir in milk, and stir until thickened. Add chicken and mushrooms to sauce. Put rice in a greased 8x8 baking dish, spoon chicken mixture over rice and top with cheese. 

It was not until this point in the process that it actually became photogenic.


Bake at 350 degrees, 30 minutes.

Yum bubbly cheese.

My Rating: 3/5 "I needed seasoning here. I love mushrooms, so having them in there was almost enough, but something with more pizzazz would have tipped this from pleasant to truly enjoyable. Y'all who are good at augmenting recipes can have fun with this one."
