Female Cookbook Volume 22, p. 54
1 can
Mexican refried beans
200g
[1 cup] shredded mild cheddar
1
small head of lettuce, shredded
3
tomatoes, shredded
2
tortilla trays
How did nature fit all this into one little bunch? Crazy. |
Heat the refried beans according to the instructions on the
can.
There were no instructions on the can. If there were, they probably would have said "put the beans in a pot and leave them there until they're pretty warm." |
Place some of the beans on the tortilla trays.
I think that whoever wrote this recipe was working with bigger tortilla trays... |
Top with shredded lettuce,
tomatoes and cheese.
...because we only ended up using one tomato and less than half of the lettuce. |
You may serve this with a dollop of sour cream of
guacamole.
Or you may serve it with Fried Ham with Gravy. |
My Rating: 3/5 "Not a bad flavor - a little bland, maybe. I would have felt better about not having so many leftover ingredients."
