1 6 ¼ ounce can tuna
1 teaspoon sweet relish
1-2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 scallion
Drain and discard the liquid from the tuna. Transfer the
tuna to a small bowl and separate it into flakes with a fork.
Canned tuna. It is what it is. |
Mix in relish and
the mayonnaise to your taste.
Wash the scallion. Cut off the root tip and top 2 inches of
the green end and discard them. Cut the remaining white and green parts into
¼-inch pieces and add to the tuna salad.
If you don't get the relish mixed in well, one of your bites is going to be a big surprise! |
Mix thoroughly and serve as a salad or
as a filling for sandwiches. The salad can also be served chilled.
Who doesn't chill tuna salad? Weird people, that's who. |
My Rating: 4/5 "A really quick, simple, and filling lunch that has nice flavor without being sloppy and oily. It's called 'basic' for a reason, but it reminds you that sometimes simple flavor combinations can be awesome."
