Cooking
spray
1
(31-ounce) can pork and beans, drained
2
cooking apples, thinly sliced
1
(8-ounce) package fully cooked sausage links, cut into ½-inch slices
1 cup
honey barbecue sauce
1
tablespoon prepared mustard
2
tablespoons cider vinegar
½
teaspoon hot sauce
I am chronically inept at slicing apples. I just kind of bully them until they're in smaller pieces.
Mix beans, apples, and sausage in a 3-quart casserole
coated with cooking spray. Stir in barbecue sauce and next three ingredients.
You just have to resign yourself to the fact that this isn't going to be very pretty.
Yeah...
Bake at 450F for 30 minutes. Serve as a side dish.
I mean, if you wanted you could eat it as a main dish as well. In the balance t's not all that different from a meatless chili.
My Rating: 3/5 "I really enjoyed the creativity of this blend of flavors. The overall effect is sweeter than I expected - maybe a smidge too sweet. Great consistency!"
