packed brown sugar

margarine or butter, softened

cold coffee
1 egg

teaspoon ground cinnamon

teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 ¾ cups
all-purpose flour

teaspoon baking soda
½
teaspoon salt
1 ¼ cups
raisins
¾ cup
chopped nuts
Heat oven to 375F. Mix brown sugar, margarine, shortening,
coffee, egg, cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl.

Stir in remaining ingredients.
I used almonds for the chopped nuts and also added some craisins to the mix for more Fall flavor. |
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie
sheet. Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, 8 to 10 minutes.
Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

My Rating: 4/5 "These were a great autumnal snack that give you a great excuse to heat up the house with baking! The coffee isn't really an overwhelming flavor - just a mellow accent behind the sweet things. Good stuff!"
