extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
1 T.
butter
1 large
onion, sliced
1 ½
pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
Salt and
pepper
All trimmed and ready to go! |
In a medium size skillet over medium-high heat, heat the EVOO
and butter and add the onion to the pan. Let cook until light brown and
caramelized, about 20 minutes.
I burned mine a little. But they were still good! |

My Rating: 4/5 "This is damn good for all it's nothing but vegetables. The beans stay nice and crisp and satisfying to chew, and the flavor of the onions is a great complement to them. A great, slightly sweet accompaniment to whatever main dish you might have cooked up!"
