Twinkies
1 big
box Jello [the author recommends Strawberry]
Cool
Whip
Unwrap Twinkies and place in 9x13 glass pan.
TWINKIES: ASSEMBLE |
Make Jello. Let
cool a little bit and then pour on top of Twinkies.
The point is to let the Jello get all up inside the sponge cake rather than encasing it in a big jiggly rectangle. |
Put in refrigerator for a
few hours until Jello has set. When Jello has set up firm, spread Cool Whip on
top.
Don't forget to thaw the Cool Whip. |
Enjoy!
See? You end up with flavored Twinkies covered in Cool Whip, which is actually much better than it sounds. |
My Rating: 4/5 "I was ready to laugh really hard about eating this and then hate it. But I didn't! The suggested flavor of Jello is actually a nice combination with the Twinkie dough. The Cool Whip and cream filling add kind of a mellow, fluffy undertone to the tang of the fruitiness. You will be surprised how not-so-bad this is."
