1 ready
to bake pie crust
1 cup
fresh strawberries, diced
1 (8
oz.) container strawberry yogurt
1 (8
oz.) container non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
Additional
fresh strawberries for garnish
Bake pie crust as directed for an unfilled, one crust pie.
Cool.
It ain't pretty, but it's functional.
Combine the diced strawberries and yogurt. Fold in the whipped topping.
At no point does it tell you to actually put the filling in the crust, but you should probably do that now.
Cover and freeze.
Also smooth it out with something other than a fork, because as you can see the fork leaves a legacy.
Thaw until just able to slice. Serve garnished with a fresh
strawberry.
Dessert for company!
My Rating: 4/5 "This is sooo refreshing. The frozen-ness is great, of course, but mostly it's just that happy sweet combination of flavors. Also, it's only about 150 calories for 1/8 of the pie if you use Lite whipped topping, so it's a nice way to get some sweetness at the end of a meal without destroying your healthy living habits."
