2
grilled and ready frozen chicken breast fillets
6 strips
fully cooked hickory bacon
2
hamburger buns, warmed or toasted
2
Tablespoons mayonnaise
4
lettuce leaves
2 slices
tomato
When you commit to a sandwich, you really have to go full-throttle with the tomato and mayo. |
On bottom half of each bun, spread 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise;
top with 2 lettuce leaves, one slice tomato, 1 fillet, 3 bacon strips and top
half of each bun.
It turned out that I didn't have as much turkey bacon in the freezer as I thought I did, but two strips per sandwich ended up being more than enough anyway, |
Refrigerate leftovers.
Serving suggestion: Serve with sweet potato fries or corn on
the cob and salad.
Ours were served with Thai seaweed-flavored potato chips and a German Chocolate Cake beer. Because yum. |
My Rating: 3/5 "This tastes like something you'd eat at a fast-food joint, so it's a great option if you want that kind of treat but also want to stay home. I'm personally not a huge fan of BLTs, but the chicken gives this one nice depth. It's a little messy to eat and it falls apart easily, but it's still meaty-satisfying. It might be better if you grill your own chicken instead of using the frozen kind."
