The American Craft Beer Cookbook, p. 107
2
tablespoons almond butter
Brioche
or thin white sandwich bread
1 banana
2
teaspoons honey
Smoked
sea salt
1
tablespoon unsalted butter
Any excuse to use this stuff is a good excuse. |
Spread the almond butter on the inside of one slice of the
bread, thoroughly coating. Mash the banana with a fork and spread it on the
second slice of bread. Drizzle the honey over the almond butter and banana.
Sprinkle the sandwich filling with the smoked sea salt.
Mashed bananas! |
Combine the two slices
into a sandwich.
Heat a cast iron (or similar) skillet over medium heat and
then melt the butter. Grill the sandwich in the skillet until one side is
golden, about 2 minutes. Flip the sandwich and cook until the second side turns
golden brown, about 2 minutes longer.
Cast-iron win. |
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, cut
into triangles, and serve immediately.
Makes 1 sandwich.
Served, as classy as can be, with Cheetos. |
My Rating: 5/5 "This is wonderful. My husband and I both inahled it. There is nothing about it that is not completely delicious. Really. Go make it right now."
