2 (8.1
ounce) packages apple cinnamon muffin mix
1 ¼ cups
Apple Jacks cereal, crushed, divided
½ cup
English toffee bits
I don't know where the recipe envisioned by "English toffee bits," but I chopped up some mini Heath bars. |
As always, it's kind of fun to turn things into smithereens. |
Prepare muffin mix according to package directions. Stir in 1
cup cereal and toffee bits.
It doesn't exactly look pretty here. But keep going! It gets much better! |
Divide among 1 (12 count) greased or paper lined muffin pan.
Sprinkle tops of muffins with remaining cereal.
Bake according to package directions. Remove from oven; place
muffins on cooling rack.
Done! The crushed Apple Jacks make a pretty garnish! |
My Rating: 4/5 "These muffins are so delicious. You'd think this was a really weird combination of things (pre-packaged things, no less), but it works SO well! It's a little candy-ish so it could make a nice dessert as well as a nice breakfast or side dish. (They're an incredibly good breakfast, by the way.)"
