2 cups
flaked cooked white fish (preferably Swordfish or Halibut)
1 ½ cups
cooked rice
2 hard
cooked eggs
4
tablespoons butter
Salt and
pepper
There's some prep work for this one, so budget your time accordingly. (I used walleye and it was quite pleasant.) |
Once the fish is thoroughly cooked it should flake easily between two forks. |
Heat fish, rice and chopped egg whites in butter. Season and
sprinkle with grated egg yolks.
The yolks make everything so cheerful! |
Now that's some comfort food right there. |
My Rating: 4/5 "I was prepared for this to be bland and boring (since it's British food), but it was actually quite nice! I think cooking it in the butter makes the difference. It's absolutely packed with protein and has a really pleasant overall texture. Look into the history of the dish if you make it - fascinating stuff!"
