White Trash Cooking, p. 100
1 large can of yams (drained)
2 ¼ cups of canned milk
¼ cup of sweet milk
2 cups of light brown sugar
1 level tablespoon of cinnamon
½ stick of oleo
2 eggs
¾ cup of nuts chopped (any kind)
5 tablespoons and a splash of whiskey
Mash yams and add the milk, sugar and eggs mixed together.

Then put in the cinnamon, oleo and the nuts. Bake at 300 degrees in the oven for 30 or 40 minutes. Take it out and spoon on the whiskey.

| Don't forget to set aside an extra tablespoon. You know, for you. | 
Stick it
back in the oven for 10 or 15 more minutes and pray it don’t set fire to the
stove.

My Rating: 4/5 "I was a little worried at first because it didn't get solid except around the edges. But that's ok; you just eat it with a spoon and enjoy the amazing flavor! Who knew that what sweet potato pone really needed was a little liquor?"
