Yay for oatmeal-based cookies! |
TOPPING:
1/3 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. cut-up Maraschino cherries
1 c. chopped nutmeats
½ t. salt
3 eggs, beaten
2/3 c. flaked or shredded coconut
This feels like you're cutting up boba, somehow. |
Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Spread mixture over base.
I used slivered almonds. |
Bake 350F, 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
Cheery cherries! |
My Rating: 4/5 "The really nice thing about this is the variety of textures. The flaky coconut, crunchy almonds, and soft cherries give you a lot of interesting things to chew on top of the solid, substantial cookie base. I used these for a Christmas-in-July gathering, but they're tasty for any occasion!"
