16 ounces ground beef
1 large egg
1 chopped onion
8 ounces dry breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper
8 ounces water
4 ounces cider vinegar
4 ounces ketchup
1 ounce cornstarch
8 ounces brown sugar
1 ounce soy sauce
Combine beef, egg, onion, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper
in a large bowl until fully combined. Roll mixture into 1 1/2” meatballs.
Heat meatballs in a large frying pan until browned
evenly.
In another bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients
and pour over the meatballs in the pan. Cook until sauce thickens and starts to
bubble.
So saucy. |
Served with some leftover German Macaroni. |
My Rating: 4/5 "These are definitely tangy! They veered a little more toward the "sweet" side of sweet and sour, and I did kind of wish there was more balance between the two flavors. That said, they were still quite enjoyable to make and to eat!"
