3 lb. bone-in center cut pork chops
2 tsp. Creole seasoning
1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
½ cup beer
¼ cop flour
2 tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
1 tbsp. packed brown sugar
3 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup sliced onion
No need to get fancy with the beer. |
Season pork, if desired, then sprinkle with Creole seasoning.
I used Creole seasoning that wasn't Tony Chachere's and felt like a traitor. But it was nice seasoning! |
Stir soup, beer, flour, mustard and brown sugar in 6-qt. slow
cooker. Add mushrooms, onion and pork.
Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 7 hr. or until pork is done,
then serve over hot cooked rice, if desired.
And some broccoli for color and fiber. |
My Rating: 4/5 "This is very mid-century-hearty, and every so often that vibe really hits the spot. The beer and the soup are a great combination - you can pick up the nice beer accents even more strongly in the leftovers. Get lots of rice to sop up that good sauce!"
