Deviled Ham-wich

1 can (2 oz.) deviled ham

Green onion, chopped (to taste)

1 slice whole wheat bread

Cheddar cheese, grated

Grape jelly

What is this and why does it exist?


Mix canned deviled ham with chopped onion; spread on bread.

Sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

It doesn't look super weird to begin with, but then...


Broil until warm and lightly browned.

Top with grape jelly.

WHY?

My Rating: 2/5 "Why would you mix these things? Why? The deviled ham has a weird texture. The cheese makes it better, but just when your palate has kind of made sense of what's happening, BOOM! inexplicable grape jelly. Is this some kind of old-timey treat I'm just not used to? I'm open to any explanation, really."
