Pomegranate Orange Granita

Wild Harvest

4 cups pomegranate juice

1 cup orange juice

1 cup cane sugar

In large bowl, combine pomegranate juice, orange juice and sugar. Whisk until sugar is dissolved.

You need one of those big bottles of Pom for this.


Pour mixture into a 13x9-inch baking pan; cover with plastic wrap.

Place in freezer and freeze overnight or for a minimum of 6-8 hours.

To Serve: Scrape a large spoon across surface to create large ice particles. Spoon into chilled glasses.

I was a crummy host and asked my New Year's guests to help me with this part.

My Rating: 4/5 "So simple, but such a great combination of things. Smooth pomegranate plus tart citrus make for a memorable effect. Honestly I wonder if it would have been just as delicious without the extra sugar. But as-is this was fun for both kids and adults!"
