Avocado Pepper Jack Bison Burger

4 artisan buns

1 pound ground bison

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 butter lettuce leaves

8 slices of tomato

4 slices of Pepper Jack cheese

2 avocados, diced

8 Tbsps herbed mayonnaise

Heat grill to medium. Season ground bison with salt and pepper and shape into 4 patties. 

I tried to use my partner's burger smoosher thing but I wasn't very good at it.


Grill to desired doneness (approximately 6-7 minutes per side for medium).

Build burgers. Layer lettuce and tomato on bun bottoms. Top each with a grilled burger, cheese and avocado. Spread herbed mayonnaise on bun lids before capping burgers.

Served with dill pickle puffs. 

My Rating: 4/5 "So juicy and nice! The veggies are a little cumbersome but if you can keep everything together the flavor is great. Get a big mouthful so you can enjoy all the flavors at once!"
