1 lb.
ground beef
1 can (10
½ oz.) condensed cheddar cheese soup
½ cup
picante sauce
8 (8”)
flour tortillas, warmed
2 cups
shredded lettuce
Cook beef in 10” skillet over medium-high heat until well
browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off fat.
Stir soup and picante sauce in skillet and cook until mixture
is hot and bubbling.
This, for whatever reason, is an amazing combination of things. |
Spoon about 1/3 cup beef mixture down center of each
tortilla. Top with lettuce. Fold tortillas around filling.
Serving Suggestion: Tacos are delicious topped with chunky
salsa.
It doesn't look like much, but it's just enough that you can eat it without everything falling out of the sides. |
My Rating: 5/5 "Stay with me, because I know that this isn't really faithfully a taco. Mexican food purists would probably be insulted that it's called one. But it's GOOD. Like, the gloop in the middle is really really tasty, and I personally adore anything wrapped in a tortilla so that's a plus as well. Go for it and you won't be disappointed. It's good in that fake-cheese-guilty-pleasure kind of way."
