Quick & Easy Layered Dessert

2 cups cold milk
1 pkg. (4-serving size) chocolate instant pudding
1 pkg. (10.5 oz.) prepared pound cake, cut into ½-inch cubes
½ cup chocolate syrup
1 tub (8 oz.) whipped topping, thawed, divided

Pound cake prepared by the Walmart bakery. Keep this one easy on yourself.

Pour milk into bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended.
Arrange half of the cake cubes in 3-quart serving bowl. Drizzle with ¼ cup of the chocolate syrup.

Suddenly you realize what a lack of chocolate syrup there is in your life.

Layer with 1 cup of the pudding and 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping. Repeat layers ending with whipped topping.

Ok: When you're done with this it just looks like a giant bowl of smeary whipped topping. I dumped some sprinkles on there to make it a little more appealing for the potluck I was taking it to.

Refrigerate until ready to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Delicious chocolatey gloop!

My Rating: 4/5 "There are so many delicious ways to combine pudding, whipped topping, and baked goods. This is merely one among those many, but it's a good one. Keep in mind that the "layered" bit only goes so far, because once you scoop this out of the bowl it all kind of mingles together. (Which is part of the reason it's so good!)"
