1 bag
boil-in-bag white or brown rice
Non-stick
cooking spray
1 pound
lean ground beef
1 packet
(1 ¼ ounces) taco seasoning mix
½ cup
water
1 cup shredded
cheddar cheese
2 cups
shredded lettuce
1 large
tomato, chopped
Salsa,
optional
Prepare rice according to package directions. Coat a large
non-stick skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Add meat and brown over
medium-high heat; drain excess fat. Add seasoning mix, water and cooked rice.
Such protein. |
Stir and cook 2 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese.
This really is wonderfully simple to make. |
Top with lettuce and tomato just
before serving. Serve with salsa, if desired.
Put the lettuce on at the very very end so it doesn't get wilty. |
My Rating: 4/5 "You get a nice taco flavor here, but it's almost even nicer than tacos because you can eat it with a spoon and you don't have to worry about it dripping on you. The lettuce and tomato are nice and cool and refreshing with the meat and cheese. Good stuff!"
