Ciabatta Tuna Melt

Great Value

2 (5 oz.) cans chunk light tuna in water, drained, flaked

1/3 cup mayonnaise

½ cup celery, diced

¼ cup onion, chopped

4 ciabatta rolls, sliced in half

8 oz. pasteurized processed cheese product, cut in slices

Preheat broiler on oven.

Mix all ingredients except for cheese product.

Quick little tuna salad!

Toast ciabatta rolls, top with tuna mixture on each half and finish with cheese product slices.

No ciabatta rolls at Kessler's so I used whole-grain hamburger buns. An English muffin would probably have been a better choice.

Place under broiler until cheese product is melted and bubbly.

Make sure they stay a respectful distance from the broiler. As you can see, mine were much too close.

Serve with chips.

Still tasty, though, even if they were a little singed.

My Rating: 4/5 "I expected the Velveeta to ruin this but it gave a homey spin to a more customary tuna melt. The tuna salad isn't especially interesting, but with the cheese on top I guess it really doesn't have to be. A tidy little dinner!"
