1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (15 ounce) can refried beans, heated
2 (7.5 ounces) packages guacamole
1 (16 ounce) jar thick and chunky salsa
1 (15.5 ounce) jar salsa con queso
6 to 8 slices bacon, crisply cooked and
crumbled
¼ cup sliced green onions
Tortilla chips
It's so much fun to eat beautiful food...
In a small bowl, combine taco seasoning mix with sour
cream and stir until well blended.
Spread warm refried beans on the bottom and up the side
of the serving dish.
Layer sour cream mixture, guacamole dip, salsa and salsa con queso over refried beans.
But the visual gets more complex... |
Cover with bacon crumbles and onions.
And eventually it's quite attractive! |
Serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
Dinner of tired champions. |
My Rating: 4/5 "First of all I should note that this recipe makes a TON of dip. When I read it I thought an eight inch square pan wouldn't hold much, but eating this as a series of meals kept us fed for days. Fortunately, it also tastes good and has enough complexity to keep you coming back for more. Great for parties, but also fun for just you!"
