Lemon-Buttered Broccoli

Selections from Betty Crocker’s Dinner for Two Cookbook, p. 75

1 package (10 ounces) frozen broccoli spears

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

2 teaspoons lemon juice

Heat oven to 350F. In ungreased 1-quart casserole, place frozen broccoli spears, butter or margarine and lemon juice. 

A loaf pan is ideal for this dish


Cover and bake until tender, about 35 minutes.

Served with some heart-shaped pasta we found on super-sale at Aldi after Valentine's Day


My Rating: 4/5 "This is surprisingly good for all it's only three ingredients strong. Fresh broccoli would probably be better since the bags of the frozen stuff don't have as may tree-tops as they should. But even as-is we thought this was a nice side dish for our pasta, and also our 1YO loved it."
