Tampico Tortilla Roll-ups

Aunt Bee’s Mayberry Cookbook, p. 18

2 8-ounce packages cream cheese

1 8-ounce carton sour cream

2 to 3 green onions, finely chopped

Juice of ½ lime

2 to 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, chopped

12 fresh flour tortillas

Salsa

In a bowl combine the cream cheese, sour cream, onions, lime juice, and jalapeno peppers. Blend well. Spread the filling on the tortillas.

A spoonful of flavor!

See? Just enough jalapenos to be fun

Roll up the tortillas and cut into 1-inch rolls. Cover with a wet towel and chill until ready to serve.

Serve with salsa.

I halved the recipe and it still made this many.

My Rating: 4/5 "These pack more oomph than you'd expect from a little hors d'oeuvre. They're not spicy, but they have a complex little ping when you eat them. They're definitely party food, if only because they're not nearly as good as leftovers as they are the first time. Make them for a crowd!"
