White Trash Gatherings, p. 49
2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, diced
1 (15-ounce) can mixed vegetables, with
half of the liquid drained off
1 (11-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (11-ounce) can cream of celery soup
1 (8-ounce) package Velveeta cheese, cut
into cubes
1 (1-pound) bag frozen tater tots
Turn on your oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown up your beef and onion.
A classic combination. |
Drain off the fat. Spread in a casserole dish. Mix together your canned vegetables, canned soups, and cheese.
Target didn't have canned mixed veggies so I deferred to my weird fondness for canned green beans. |
Spread this over the beef mixture and top the whole concoction with
your tots.
Bake for 1 hour, or until your tots are browned and
your casserole gets all bubbly.
Golden! |
My Rating: 4/5 "This isn't fancypants, but it is tasty. It's cheesy and beefy and potatoey. In that respect, it's a solid dinner."
