Betty Crocker Whole Grains: Easy Everyday Recipes, p. 82
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup butter or margarine
1 ½ cups Corn Chex cereal
1 ½ cups Rice Chex cereal
1 ½ cups Wheat Chex cereal
½ cup raisins, sweetened dried cranberries
or dried cherries
In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
In large microwaveable bowl, microwave butter uncovered
on High about 40 seconds, or until melted. Stir in cereals until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture evenly over cereals;
stir. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture; stir. Microwave uncovered 1
minute. Stir in raisins. Spread on paper towels to cool.

I went the dried cranberry route and it worked out well. |
My Rating: 4/5 "This is a pretty great snack mix, and that's not a phrase I use very often. The cinnamon and sugar tie everything together wonderfully and the mix of different kinds of Chex makes it visually fun. I sent this to daycare for my kid's snack day, but I was sad to see it go!"
