Sausage Dip

Walmart Family Cookbook, p. 11

½ lb. bulk pork sausage

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

1 cup bottled salsa

¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Tortilla chips

In medium saucepan cook sausage until brown; drain fat. Stir in cream cheese, salsa and cilantro. 

What a happy combination of things!


Cook and stir over low heat until cheese melts. Transfer to a 1-quart crockery cooker. Keep warm on low-heat setting for up to 2 hours. Serve with chips.

I just served mine right out of the pot because I wasn't throwing a party or anything.

My Rating: 4/5 "This was tangy and zesty and savory in all the right places. I might have preferred a little less sausage, actually, to make the dip less filling. But even as it was, I was super-impressed!"
