Nest was a peaceful place to sit and read.

There's a big front window on this place and I didn't want to freak out the staff by obviously taking a picture. Here's a sneaky half-selfie instead.
This isn't the world's prettiest shopping center, but Nest did a good job of making their signage look sophisticated and professional. I also suspect it would look nicer if I went on a day that wasn't all gray and snowy.

Loved that they had a rentable meeting space.

Bonus points if anyone can tell me what the not-bench thing in the bathroom is.
This is a nice sit-and-linger coffee shop. I went there a little after 11am and there was a group of high school students sitting and chatting. As I was leaving more people started to arrive and a couple of them looked ready to study. There were great spots for being alone and great spots for being social. I could have handled more decoration on the walls, but they might be going for the clean look.

Iced Strawberry Foam Matcha
Let me just hit you with a few of the drink names: Iced Cardamom Chai. Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Swirl. Gingerbread Cream Cold Brew. Hot Maple Cinnamon Latte. Sugar Free Mango Raspberry Refresher. Now I had the Strawberry Foam Matcha, which is one of three iced matcha drinks Nest offers. I thought it was amazing, but there were at least three other things on the menu I wanted to try as soon as possible. They also had a couple of hot sandwich options (see below) and some baked goods, although I'm guessing the latter changes from day to day.

Hot Caprese Sandwich
I only tried one drink, but I loved it and I have strong suspicions that the other offerings are equally amazing. (When I went to give a talk at Ford Meter Box afterward, though, I was told that local opinion is divided about the Strawberry Foam Matcha. I think it's a good sign that enough people have tried it to create scuttlebutt.) The one hangup is that I wanted lunch and there were only a couple of sandwich options available. The sandwich was fine, and I appreciated that they heated it up for me, but it wasn't as creative as the drinks.
Kid-Friendly: 3/5
I have a feeling if you brought kids in here they'd be a bit disruptive for the people who are trying to read and study. That said, if you just need a quick pep-up this is a great place to pick up a treat for both you and the kids, especially if your kids have a sweet tooth.
Would Eat Again?: Green Light
I'm going to be in Wabash periodically over the next couple of months and I have a feeling I'll be stopping at Nest whenever I can. And there's good news for folks who don't live in Wabash: they're working on opening a store in Indianapolis! I hope it takes off, because this place is a treat and I want to watch it grow.
