Exterior: 3/5
The restaurant is in an industrial area and you can't escape the gray concrete vibe of the neighborhood when you get out of your car. But I do give this place major props for having a massive parking lot, which is not something you can say about some other Tex Mex joints in town. The building itself also looks industrial but is very well maintained.
Ambience: 4/5
The Bandidos interior is a huge open space and they use it to their advantage with a nice calming fountain in the middle of the dining area, papel picado, and big screen TVs showing futbol games. They don't go balls-to-the-wall with the theming, but that's ok. You don't want the restaurant to overshadow the food. We went on a Monday night so the place was probably emptier than usual, but we felt like

The menu is massive and I had fun going through it. There's a lot to choose from and the dishes are quite distinct from each other. The options include gluten-free, dairy-free, and meat-free entrees and a nice array of beverages with and without a little kick to them. My only note is that it all felt quite Americanized, but I have a feeling the target audience for Mexican food in Kokomo wants stuff with lots and lots of cheese.

| I was utterly in love with my Shrimp Tacos. The spicy mayo sauce has a wonderful zing and I appreciate the consistency of the tortillas. |
Staple dishes were all solid here: flavorful rice that wasn't at all greasy, plentiful chips and salsa, etc. The entrees all came in Midwest-friendly portion sizes. I went with a bigger group of people and not one of us was unhappy with our meal. Waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and helpful.
Kid Friendly: 5/5
They had the standard chicken and fries kid option here, and my kid opted for that like he usually does. But I was impressed with the larger-than-usual number of smaller-portion Tex Mex options on the kids' menu for the littles to try if they want. The staff seemed happy to bring the baby as much milk as she could drink.
Would Eat Again?: Green Light
Bandidos was a great deal for the money and we had a nice pleasant experience.
