Grilled Pepper Jack Pastrami

I was glad the recipe didn't specify what amount of each ingredient to use. There wasn't much red onion on my final product.

Lightly butter 2 slices rye bread. Layer with pastrami, red onion, and tomato between slices of Pepper Jack cheese. 

Lots going on in there!


Grill sandwich in hot skillet until golden and cheese is melted.

Gotta be gotta be golden!

My Rating: 4/5 "The flavors here are great, especially because I used a nice peppery pastrami. Even the red onion wasn't so bad in small doses. My only complaint, really, was that the veggies make it hard to keep the sandwich together while you're eating it. When I made the sandwich again to use up the leftovers I left off the tomato and onion and added horseradish mayo, and that was fabulous. If you're willing to give up a little fiber I'd recommend going that route."
